I'm dying soon

Last week I had an emergency meeting at Taman Megah's Ming Tian on some urgent matter. We picked VIP area as there are sort of obsoleted from the main crowd. Everything seems to be fine and except that the lighting is very dim. During the discussion I keep scratching my hand because I felt itchy and my initial thought was mosquito as the place is dark. But one week later this is what happen.

I don't know what the heck happen and I don't know how to cure it. The itchiness is killing me. I think it is caused by the table where I rest my arm back in Ming Tian where I suspect it is filled with millions, if not billions of germs. Anyone of you out there know how I can cure this, please HELP? I don't want to die yet, not until I own my very personal drum set :p

Finger Game

Stumble upon this interesting video on youtube

Apparently Bandai has done it again with more weird yet interesting product. This device is named as Tutttuki Bako. You are required to put your finger into the hole located on the side of the box and start playing with some mini game with your finger. This is something original I must say.

Upside Down

I've just change my MSN nick from Fallen Angel to lǝƃuɐ uǝllɐɟ and immediately I get tons of messages asking me how to do that or what happen to my MSN.

Well there isn't any secret in doing this. To get the upside down effect simply head to this website FlipText, type a word and it will flip it for you, once you have done typing simply copy the flipped text and paste it anywhere you like. Just that simple.

Bangkok Dangerous

Went to 1 Utama to watch the premier screening of Bangkok Dangerous which I got the special invitation from The Star newspaper. For those who plan to watch the movie please ignore anything below this line as it contain spoiler.

Basically Nicolas Cage play as an assassin who are hired to kill people in any part of the world and the story took place in Bangkok. There ain't much of action packed into the movie which is kinda disappointment to me as I expected more of rushing here rushing there, chasing here chasing there type of movie, rather than just pull a gun out from any part of the body and shoot perfectly at the target. In other word there is more talking than action in the movie. The story line is kinda plain if you ask me and it have typical falling in love scene. I find it funny though as an assassin who kill people without a blink of an eye could feel shy and nervous when he face the one he like.

Those of you who wish to get more info can always refer to its official trailer

Getting off annoying message

Ever get frustrated when you try to move or delete a file/folder and you get this message:

Well it is cause by some process that is still accessing to it therefore you have to close the process first before you can delete, but you have no idea which process is using it right?
There is a free tool out there named Unlocker, you can grab it here

1. Simply right click the folder or file and select Unlocker

2. If the folder or file is locked, a window listing of lockers will appear

3. Simply click Unlock All and you are done!

Some handy tool

Let me ask you this, how do you open up Microsoft Word in your PC?

Step 1: Navigate your hand away from your keyboard to reach the mouse
Setp 2: Move the cursor on your screen and point it to the start button
Step 3: Click on it and navigate through a long list of menu. Start>All Programs>Microsoft Office>Microsoft Office 2008
Step 4: Move your hand back to the keyboard

Is that so? Don't you think there are alot of steps involved? What if I challenge you that I can run any application faster than you? Will you think that I'm NBTD (Nothing Better To Do)?

Well there is actually one awesome tool that is capable to save your time (some say is for lazy people like me =.=) while launching any application on your PC, it is called LAUNCHY. You can download it here

The default skin should look like this
but you can customize it and mine look awesomely cool

Basically you can trigger Launchy by pressing a customizable shortcut key (mine is ALT+SPAECBAR) and then type the application name you wish to launch. Is just that simple. Beside that, you too can launch any Internet browser and immediately search for your desired keyword.
Example:
[Search Engine] TAB [Keyword]
Google | Avril
Yahoo | Avril

You can do more with Launchy like submitting entry to twitter but I'm not going into that just yet. Trust me, once you have use this, you can't live without it. Enjoy!!

FAILURE DOESN'T MEAN YOU'RE A FAILURE

Failure doesn't mean you're a failure,
it does mean you haven't succeeded yet.

Failure doesn't mean you haven't accomplished something,
it does mean you have learned something.

Failure doesn't mean you've been a fool,
it does mean you have a lot of faith.

Failure doesn't mean you've been disgraced,
it does mean you were willing to try.

Failure doesn't mean you don't have it,
it does mean you have to do something in a different way.

Failure doesn't mean you're inferior,
it does mean you're not perfect.

Failure doesn't mean you've wasted your time,
it does mean you have a reason to start fresh.

Failure doesn't mean you should give up,
it does mean you should try harder.

Failure doesn't mean you'll never make it,
it does mean it will take a little longer.

Failure doesn't mean God has abandoned you,
it does mean he has a better way.

Foolish Act

When it all started I see a ray of light
But it all ended without much expectation
Was it a peaceful fight
or was it an silent war
Knowing that chances are slim
Seeing you is what I wish for every now and then
Staying out of sight, staying out of trouble
Every smile in a face puts a cut in the heart
Deep down in me , would like to ask
Am I once the only one or am I once nobody to you
18 October is a memorable day and shall not be forgotten
Happy Birthday Dear X

Som Tum

Nathan Jones once a pro-wrestler acted in the movie Tom Yam Goong release in year 2005. He has everything that a person should be afraid off, the look, the angry eye, the solid muscle.

He is now trying out a totally new character which is exactly the opposite of what his appearance portrait. The movie is named after one of Thailand popular food Som Tum.

Former pro wrestler Nathan Jones plays a timid, down-on-his-luck tourist in Pattaya. He's taken in by two girls, Kraten (Nawarat Techaratanaprasert) and her kickboxing sister Dokya (Sasisa Jindamanee), and with the help of the girl's spicy papaya salad, Barney discovers an inner strength that manifests itself in a red-hot wage.

House Bunny

Went for the premier screening of House Bunny 2 days before its actual screening date in cinema nation wide.

Anyway you probably know this actress from movies like scary movie series, she is none other than Anna Faris.

Spoiler

The story is about a homeless girl being adopted to the playboy mansion until she was tricked into leaving the place. Left with nothing she started her journey by searching hi and low for a shuttle until she falls in with the sorority girls from Zeta. She aim to aid the girls in Zeta by changing their appearance to become a popular among the community in order to keep the house still. But they will each learn on their own to stop pretending to be what others want them to be and start being themselves.

This is just another one of those consistent pace comedy.

Fury 2008

Went for the special screening on the movie Fury last week and thank to my friend for the special screening pass.

From the director who directed Ong Bak and Tom Yum Goong, here come Fury.

Fury is actually a movie with just plain story line, yes, very plain indeed. The whole story is about a gifted girl who is able to learn any kind of martial art she observed and is able to learn almost immediately. The trailer seems promising however.

But personally I would still prefer Tom Yum Goong and here is one of the fight scence

Connected / 保持通话 2008

As I enter the first day of my diet plan, I couldn't really control much on food consuming yet as I had an appointment, a dinner appointment with my friend, but at least after dinner I will not take any extra meal.

Anyway today is not about the diet plan, is a personal review on the movie connected, it is a hong kong filmed movie with popular star like Louis Koo, Barbie Hsu, Nick Cheung.

SPOILER
A single father (Bob) receives an emergency phone call on his cell phone from an woman. The woman claims to have been kidnapped; and the kidnappers have targeted her brother and daughter next. Bob have to race against time to save the woman and her family. The movie is packed with action from beginning till end and it keeps viewer curious on what the kidnappers is searching for. The only drawback is that toward the ending of the movie, everything is kinda expected, you know kind of typical Hong Kong police and gangster kind of ending, if you get what I mean. XD

The movie is a remake from an US based movie titled: Cellular in year 2004. Have not watch the US version therefore no comment on it.

I would recommend those who are into action pack type of movie to go watch, it keeps you curious and pretty occupied for almost 2 hours.

Here's a peak at the movie

Diet I must

Gosh, got a scare of the day. Currently I'm weighting at approx 55kg.. With all the sleep late, night activity, my biological clock is out of tune already.. I don't take my breakfast, don't consume lunch, but when the night falls, I can take up to 3 meals within that short period of time.

Also notice there significant symptom showing why I gain consistently
  1. Supper, a night ghost I've become
  2. Less exercise due to workload and less buddy to tag along
  3. Consume too much of unhealthy food
  4. Sleep after meal, shower after meal (don't even know if this myth is true)
Therefore I've prepare a checklist for myself
  1. Sleep early before 2am
  2. Don't think I can totally cut off my meal as off now, so will consume less amount for time being
  3. NO more, I repeat, NO more junk food
  4. Exercise wise, we will see how
Aiming to reduce at least 1kg within 2 weeks.. We shall check again by 28 Oct 2008
Hope to see a crystal clear result.
Until then, finger cross.

Google Chrome - Stats for nerds

In case there is anyone out there still wondering what chrome is here's a quick cap. Chrome is a newly launched Internet browser by Google. It has a simple and clean layout. You can get Google Chrome by clicking here. For firefox and opera user you might notice that chrome is very similar to what you have been using.

Let's take a look at the memory (from task manager) chrome consumption

Actually every tab in Google chrome consume its own memory instead of the whole browser taking up memory which might cause memory hog. Google have this built in feature where it break down for us to see which process or tab is taking up all our precious space. You can access it by right click on the empty tab space on top of the page and choose task manager.
Click on the Stats for nerds and it will show you the summary page
It will also compare the memory consumed by all the running browser and on bottom of the page, it tells you exactly how many memory is consumed by each tab and services.

By separating out the tab and processes, you can close any one of them without having to close the whole browse when one of the tab hangs.

There is another pretty cool effect you can do with chrome, by default every page is open into a new tab, you can actually click on the tab and while holding on your left click, simply move your cursor to the middle of the page, and then release, ta-da.. you have separated the tab out into a new window.

Tab browsing is fun, but sometime we accidentally closed the wrong tab, and find difficulties in retrieving them. I'm gonna teach you how to retrieve them. Simple hold down CTRL + Shift + T on your keyboard and pop your browser will retrieve your recently closed tab.

*This work on firefox too

Enjoy

Google giving you 10million USD

Google is committing a whopping US$10million for best ideas for ways to improve people's lives.

Google is announcing as part of its tenth birthday celebration Project 10^100 (pronounced Project 10 to the 100th), a call for ideas to change the world by helping as many people as possible.

According to Google's PR agency in Malaysia, these ideas can be big or small, technology-driven or brilliantly simple - but they need to have impact. We will identify the 100 best ideas and then ask our users to vote on which ideas we should fund. All ideas should be sent in by October 20th.

Project 10100 (pronounced "Project 10 to the 100th") is a call for ideas to change the world by helping as many people as possible. Here's how to join in.

1. Send us your idea by October 20th.
Simply fill out the submission form giving us the gist of your idea. You can supplement your proposal with a 30-second video.

2. Voting on ideas begins on January 27th.
We'll post a selection of one hundred ideas and ask you, the public, to choose twenty semi-finalists. Then an advisory board will select up to five final ideas. Send me a reminder to vote.

3. We'll help bring these ideas to life.
We're committing $10 million to implement these projects, and our goal is to help as many people as possible. So remember, money may provide a jumpstart, but the idea is the thing.
