Go Burger Kitchen (GBK)

With all the crave circulating all around burgers still going strong, I had the chance to try out another burger joint and this time round at Go Burger Kitchen (GBK) in Setiawalk. To be honest, the restaurant ain't easy to located mainly due to the complex structure of Setiawalk and the lack of banner that are visually appealing to my eye. It took me a good 15-20 minute to find the place after walking from one end to another end.
GBK offer rather spacious dining table to its customer and ambiance wise was generally OK for a group dining. For some reason, the surrounding of GBK are highly 'decorated' with Coca-Cola related item.
One too can leave their signature / message on the guitar left hanging on the red painted wall.
These are some of the sauce available shall you need it to further boost up the taste of your burger.
Among the burgers serves that night, majority of it were beef burger which I couldn't consume but I will still post up as many info as I could for your reference.
The Hungry Hog is made of 2 4oz Pork patties, Double Cheese, Double Bacon, Onions, Pickles, Lettuce, and Tomatoes and is priced at RM25.
Das Nürnberger is priced at RM35 and it contain Nürnberger sausage patty, grilled onions, double cheese, bacon and mustard.
El Chorizo which is made with Pork Patty, Chorizo Sausages, Double Cheese, GBK Salsa, Pringles is priced at RM27.
The Goblin is off menu as the owner is still doing a fine tuning to further enhance the taste and overall presentation of it. Priced at RM27 The Goblin have 5oz beef patty, grilled beef bacon, cream mustard spinach and tomatoes.
Go! Vege burger  comes with Sautee Mushroom, Swiss Cheese, Hash Brown, Lettuce and Tomato and is only RM15. I actually shared this burger with Kelvin Tan (from http://www.ktheblogger.com/) and according to him, it was pretty plain in taste. I on the other hand disagree because I could feel the taste of almost everything layer by layer, taste after taste each bite. Since the Sautee Mushroom was heavy in flavor, the saltiness roam into my taste bud first but was soon follow by Hash Brown. I think this is so far the only burger joint I visited that offer a vege burger on its menu.
Go! Chicken is priced at RM18 and has Grilled Chicken Breast, Cheese, Caramelized Onions, Lettuce and Tomato. Surprisingly the breast meat wasn't dry as I would have expected and it has very light taste to it. Though the cheese was flame grilled over the grilled chicken breast meat, there weren't any presence of burn taste. It did satisfy my crave but personally I think there is still some enhancement needed in terms of taste.
One of the best seller here at GBK would be the Swiss Piggy with 4oz Organic Pork Patty, Swiss Cheese, Sautee Mushroom, Grilled Onions is selling at RM20. I think the patty was a little too dry but the moist from Sautee Mushroom and Grilled Onions actually did play an important part into giving moisture to it from the outside. Again, I could barely taste the patty and is overwhelm by the taste of mushroom and onions.
Every set meal comes with 250ml of soft drink where you can choose either Coke, Sprite or Mirinda Orange and a basket of Fries. There were nothing much to shout about on the fries and it was crispy but with very little filling inside.

Overall GBK is just less than 2 months old and there were definitely some room for improvement. Personally I could taste the Chicken, Pork, and Vege burger have almost identical ingredient, with bolognese / tomato sauce on the bottom part of the bun, topped with fresh and crunchy lettuce and followed by patty according to the item you ordered with Swiss Cheese melted onto it, finished by caramelized onions before the top bun. This results in all the burger I tried ending up with identical taste and personally I find the Sautee Mushroom a little too salty and very flavorful that it tend overpower the overall taste.
