The movie is about 2 comic-book fans from British, travel more than 5 thousands mile to US to visit the comic con, one of the biggest comic exhibition who later gone on a roadtrip to visit all alien flagged location like Area 51.
There they stumble upon an Alien named Paul, a familiar face with a familiar attitude. You see Paul is not those crazy Alien that kill human, but in return he had a bad ass attitude that swear all the way throughout the movie.
That explain how these 2 geek picked up an Alien by the side of Area 51, now not only they have extra company, they too find themselves in lots of trouble especially with the government that wanted Paul dead or alive, and so the journey begin.
I remember reading from some other reviews stated that Paul is one heck of a laughing movie that you'll probably felt off from your seat, and I think that's kinda over rated.
