The price range per pax is around RM15-25/pax also depending on what you order, but with such lovely ambiance, I would say it is affordable for you to bring your date here on special occasion because upon request you can get yourself a candle light table setup specially for you.
Enough with the surrounding and let's just dine in. Throughout the duration of my dining experience there which is approx 2 hours, there weren't many walk in customer and is surprise to see few walk in simply because of the venue I perhaps. While waiting for the food to be served, I was given a glass of drink named Asmara Punch with a heart shaped watermelon decorating on top of the glass. It was a mixture of watermelon and orange juice, mixed with syrup, which explain why it is so sweet. It was in fact too over for my liking.
Next I had appetizer, the Thai Fish Cake. They were served in bit size and is pretty good in taste but wasn't to the extend of coming back for more. I however love the crispy on the fish cake, the refreshing vegetable on top of it, and thank God the cause doesn't overpower the overall taste.
Next finger food served is the Hash-brown dipped in thai chili sauce. There isn't much to shout about because it is something you had all the time elsewhere. The dish is served in a decorative manner and the dipping sauce may be quite a waste because some serving had quarter of the cup filled and for someone who doesn't like the sauce might not go dip in second round.
Moving on to the main dish now, the first one I had was Creamy Butter Prawn. The deep fried big size prawn is covered by generous amount of thick creamy butter sauce. Taste wise was pretty good but I think it can be further improve with stronger taste profile to it.
The Asam Pedas Asmara is one of the most recommended dish here and be warned it is really burning hot. You can opt for Kembong, Siakap, Tenggiri, or Beef. Personally beside the main hero the "green" that come along with it was unfortunately undercook.
Asmara Penchala serves a wide array of Asian Cuisine and therefore you can have the Chinese Fried Rice, Indian Rice, and Nasi Lemak Kampung here with each individual is paired with a rich variety of side line from Pandan Chicken, Fried Prawn, Grill Fish, Curry Mutton, and the list continue. It does come with different type of condiment to go along with. Taste wise is pretty good to my liking and my only complain has to be the greasy-ness of it.
The Grilled Salmon simply look astonishing but I didn't manage to try it as I was too ill to stay back for the remaining 2 dishes.
