The Tourist

The Tourist, who wouldn't be attracted to watch the movie especially when it stars Angelina Jolie and Johny Depp as the main character.

Thank to Cari Malaysia I was invited to their premier screening of the movie. For once I thought it would be another "Salt" movie and I was somewhat right and wrong..

The Tourist actually tell a story about Frank (Johnny) traveling in a broken heart to Venice, where he met Elise (Angelina) in a random occasion. Elise is actually being followed by the police to arrest her lover for years while the mobster is also hunting for her lover who stole a big sum from them. So this movie is all about diversion of attention instead of action if that is what you thought it is..

I would say there are plenty of "spy", comedy, love, and romance in the movie. While these element did a good job keeping me awake, the other elements however was rather predictable. Scene and target were kinda predictable as there were kinda classic plot..

Although many things were left unexplained and non logically related, it is still a "can" watch movie, just don't put your expectation too high.

Little Fockers

What's a better way to spend Christmas with a little treat from Cathay (my all time fav cineplex) on a movie that has the 'spirit' in it?

Catched Little Fockers on Christmas eve with my dear complimentary from Cathay and Digi, thank you both. :D
From the title itself one can't help but to realize that this is the latest installment from Fockers trilogy.

However unlike the movie title suggested, the movie ain't all about these 2 kid, not even 50% of it. It resolves more on Jack (Robert De Niro) looking for a successor for the entire family hierarchy, but does Greg (Ben Stiller) have what it takes to be one?

The good side of the movie is that the cast remain the same, so you could expect some level of laughter. Not only they include origin cast member, they introduce a hottie into the movie as well, and she is Jessica Alba

The bad side however, if you didn't watch the previous Focker movie, you might not get a clue of what they "fock" about..

Overall it was an enjoyable movie with your partner where you could watch your other half having a good laugh. The pace doesn't reach the highest peach sadly..

Gulliver's Travels

Well the first thing that came into my mind is Tallboyz >.< I can't help but his blog banner and the movie poster is almost identical :D

Lol.. But anyway here's what I think about the movie Gulliver's Travels.

First thing first, where there is a movie that involves very tiny or very huge being / creature, there is sure to be CG and some camera trick involves, and this movie is not excluded. Since we are reaching 2011 pretty soon, I would have to say that they did not blend and paste everything together nicely.

See what I mean? It it a too obvious copy paste scene. Then come the plot, the movie / story itself ain't something new, so lots of thing kinda expected. You get an early Xmas gift from the trailer actually, which end up spoiling 60% of the first half of the show. However the remaining part wasn't a surprise either.

Good thing the movie was rather short and if I were you, I will stay out from this movie.

Tron Legacy

What strike you when you heard about the movie Tron? To me I know it is (or was) once a famous old school game and the one that we are having in 2010 is a movie that is in 3D.. Just can't wait for it, and thank to Magnum, I was invited to the first screening of its release.

I even attended the 30 minute preview screening and was also planning to opt for GSC Gold Class if I couldn't secure any ticket for this movie. All I have to say is Thank God I didn't

You see, while living in some awesome digitized world with cool light on your suit and having a capsule than can transform into bike or plane is cool, the movie doesn't focus much on that sadly. The worst part is that they created a whole new world (scene), something like a new world in Avatar, and they simply put 2 soul into the world to do nothing but to talk to each other till death o.0

Most of the scene were dim and I couldn't really feel the eye popping 3D effect. I'm curious, don't they ever view it first before us? Or was it because I'm sitting on the very side of the hall?

The Season of the Witch is Here

What scare me most about witches is not their magic skill, is not what they could turn you into, but is their face which has the texture of the moon and they are usually fierce old lady.

I know some will argue that they have seen 'pretty' witches, well I had seen not one but a few pretty one too

But don't forget, that appearance happen only when they are under the protection of their spell. When it fade off you will still turn back into the origin self, or worse

One of that face is enough to kill me, and since they can cast funny funny sort of magic, if they duplicate or copy-paste that face all around me, I would die instantly.

Thank God The Season of The Witch doesn't have the scary element on the main character, not from what I've seen so far.

The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader

This was the first Narnia out of all the Narnia trilogy am I'm glad to say that I was surprise.

Well I thought since I never watch any of Narnia installment before, I might be lost throughout the movie, but I was wrong. I could almost immediate fit into the story where it want the audience to fit in.

Each and every cast play their role well in carrying out the personalities in each character in the movie. Plot of not bad, CG was kinda good too.

It is truly a magical world where you get to see strange yet realistic things, all thank to the technology we have today.

Although storyline was kinda conventional, I was filled with tons of "creature" that are only available in the magical journey. My bet is that some of you who have follow this movie from the very beginning might find it nothing much / special. Wasn't a bad movie to bring your kids to and I wouldn't say it was an awesome movie neither.

Fair Game was a movie adapted from a true event which happen back in 2005.

Plame's status as a CIA agent was revealed by White House officials allegedly out to discredit her husband after he wrote a 2003 New York Times op-ed piece saying that the Bush administration had manipulated intelligence about weapons of mass destruction to justify the invasion of Iraq.

The movie is all about politics and conspiracy. If you aren't or if you know nuts about it, better stay away. Hmm.. On second thought most people might want to consider watching something else instead, because personally I find that the movie was plain boring, and this is not because there is no action in it, but rather a poor execution.

A good movie should be digestible by anyone with or without knowledge about what's being inspire. That is why you hire a scriptwriter not a "copy-paster".

Despite that, I felt dizzy watching the unstable camera shooting which I never even felt a thing while watching Cloverfield and Quarantine. But seriously everything was poorly executed, and I find nothing interesting that one might be looking forward to, except for the part where they feature KL in the film :p Beside that everything can be summarize as politic drama where the live one we always see in TV is much more interesting than this.

The reason why I'm not fair and so dark is partially because of the food that I consumed and another half I never really believe in sunblock product in the first place. You see during childhood I love playing in the water be it swimming pool, lagoon, and any place with water under the bright burning sun.

Even if I apply sunblock cream / gel, I have to admit that I never get the best brand available out there. I just simple grab one that is cheapest possible off the shelves. Isn't that what's matter us most when we have so little to spend and yet so many to buy? So what happen is that even applying the whole bottle of sunblock I still get sunburn at the end of the day which last for weeks..

And feeling "itchy" I love peeling off the dead skin. Not to say that I enjoy the consequences but I love the process of peeling it off. Guess I'm one of those who enjoy now suffer later.. :( Therefore inconjunction with this movie Fair Game, I would love to not only get invited for the premier screening but also the opportunity to get some Ocean Potion to aid and to protect me from getting sunburn ever again.. That would be the best Xmas gift after all since I've been good all year long :) *Puss in boots start*

My Soul to Take

It was yes you bet it, another movie night on Monday night and the movie screening was My Soul To Take directed byWes Craven, the one who brought us Night at Elm Street, The Hills have Eyes, and etc if you are not aware of that.

If I were to describe the movie in one sentence I would probably said there were too draggy character development scene and spent way too much time creating hype which in this case fear in the audience, which lead to limited time frame for the main element, horror to be plugged into the movie.

So what's the story about? Well it is about a serial killer returns to his hometown to stalk seven children who share the same birthday as the date he was allegedly put to rest.That's the synopsis for the movie, but honestly after watching it my face expression was o.0

Maybe it was just me, but I honestly couldn't follow the flow, and I don't know what's going on. It just felt very lost like how they felt in the photo shown above.

So was it scary? No! Was it thrilling? No! Was it fun? No! Then how was it. It is kinda waste of time I think. You can do much better than that Wes. Seriously, it is way too old school, and everything was an illogical made up.
